How to use the PDF template
- Download and open in a PDF readerPreview, Adobe Reader, Chrome, Edge or the iPhone Files app all fill PDF forms. Avoid previewing inside an email client; it may not show the fields.
- Fill in your business details and save as your masterHeader, payment terms and the lines you always bill. Save as “Invoice master.pdf”.
- For each job: client, number, dates, linesType into the fields; tab moves to the next one. The totals fields are typed, not calculated, so add them up before you save.
- Save a copy and sendFile → Duplicate or Save As with the invoice number in the file name (2026-014.pdf). Send that copy; keep the master unchanged.

Can I fill out a PDF invoice on my iPhone?
Yes. Open the PDF in the Files app or in Safari, tap a field and type. Use the share sheet to save a copy or send it by email or text. For frequent invoicing an app that keeps clients and items saves the retyping.
Why can't I type into the PDF?
You are probably viewing it inside an email or a browser preview that does not support forms. Download the file and open it in Preview, Adobe Reader, Chrome or the Files app.
Is this PDF invoice template really free?
